Jonny's Story
Born and raised in Chicago's suburbia, somewhere in between his childhood stages of western cowboy and pirate, Jonny found inspiration in more than imagination. His many days spent writing aimlessly have subsequently flourished into a relentless passion. Raised on Christian pop music, inspired by classic rock, and motivated by a supportive family, Jonny has stepped outside of his suburban boundaries and into a whirlwind of folk-rock music.
Jonny has just completed his first album filled with heartfelt, Indie-inspired lyrics. So relatable, yet mysteriously intriguing, Jonny's progressive music is infused with the raw sounding live work of 1960's bands. At its root, Jonny's "folky" music is that of a twenty-year-old modern day rock artist whose midnight, candle-lit recordings show definite breakout potential.
My first full length record "Frozen River Sunset" is now available on iTunes! I had a great time working with my friends on this project. It took lots of late nights and endless coffee to make this happen and the entire process was a great learning experience. Thanks to everyone who made this happen and to all of you who waited patiently for me to get this out. Hope you enjoy it!
